Masie!

Masie! I wish she would stop growing up! She's had a fun summer of tumbling classes, cheer camp and art camp. Oh and we threw a few swim lessons in there also, along with all the girls taking trips to our parents' houses. This summer was a little crazier than I expected but it was fun! And now we are all ready for regular schedules.

She is a goofy girl!

Oh my word, I could freeze time right there.
I love that sweet girl so much.

She's starting tennis lessons soon. Jason is thrilled that she is playing and they went to pick out a tennis racket together the other night. Tomorrow morning they're going to practice before we all head to the pool. I really hope she likes it and doesn't dread her classes that are coming up!

Masie decided she wanted a hair cut so
we chopped it off. Here she is before.

During.

After! When dried with a round brush.
I can assure you that I will not be doing that.

And another after. She looks so cute!

And here she is at her new desk for kindergarten.

I really can't believe that she is starting kindergarten in 4 days! I'm pretty sure I will cry like a baby on her first day. But maybe that's because I've already done that a few times this summer when I think about it. I am happy that I made it through the meet the teacher night without a single tear. And we love her new teacher! We have several mutual friends so I have met her before and am thrilled she will be teaching Masie. And Masie will be sitting right across from the daughter of a girl I went to school with. I haven't seen her since we graduated 13 years ago (Yikes! We are old!) so that was a fun surprise. I hope they will be friends!

She is so ready to go to school. She is reading and adding and subtracting. Jason and I can't really spell much anymore when we don't want them to know what we're talking about because she always guesses what we're saying.

She is the sweetest girl and loves to take care of her little sisters. She is silly and beautiful and helpful and so much fun to be with. However, if she can't find anything to wear in her closet then stay out of her way! She will be a bear. I hope that in a few years we can look back on that and laugh, because it sure isn't funny right now!

I love her to pieces and will miss her terribly when school starts!
