Darby!

Oh, our little Darby. She is the biggest ham and the cutest little thing!

She is always making us laugh with her silly faces.

She loves to read! She will sit for the longest

time in that cute little rocker and read her little tiny books.

She especially loves ones with puppies in them.

And she'll make more silly faces.

And more!

And she loves her blueberries!

She loves to gives hugs and kisses, and her little run is the cutest thing. She still isn't talking all that much, but she's learning new words every day. Her new one today was Ariel as she pointed to our many Ariel things.

Although her words may be few she sure does know what we are saying! The other day she locked herself in her room. For about 7 minutes I was trying to unlock it while she was on the other side saying, "Mamma! Mamma!" She cried a few times, but thankfully she never really got upset. I had called Jason, not knowing what to do, and since I couldn't get it opened he left the office to come home and help me. Right as we hung up the phone I said through the door, "Darby, can you unlock it? Can you unlock the door for me?" And sure enough, she unlocked it just like that and the door opened up! (And as I was trying to call Jason back to tell him not to come home he walked through the door. I love having his office right down the street!) Anyway, she sure is a smart little girl!

This summer she hasn't really liked the pool all that much. Masie and Presley would always jump right in the pool, but it took Darby MANY trips to the pool to even get in without screaming, or to even stand in the water with her feet getting wet. Hopefully our trip to the pool tomorrow will be a successful one!

She definitely keeps our life fun and interesting, and we couldn't imagine our life without this strong-willed, silly-faced, happy beautiful girl. We love her to pieces!
