Exploring

My parents live on a few acres, and we love their backyard. It's so beautiful and peaceful. A few years ago they added a fence around a large area so all the grandkids can run free and not be able to get out, and it's been great to have. However, there's a huge area outside that fence that our kids have never seen. I'm not sure why I had never taken them around the backyard, but when we were there a few weeks ago I realized that they had never seen so much of the place whereI had played when I was little.

So we went exploring! They had so much fun going in the "jungle" and looking for "treasures" on the ground. We did find a boy's homework wedged in some brush in the middle of the yard about Babylonian captivity. Not quite sure how it got there!

Well, while we were in the "jungle" area the girls were peeking over the fence at the neighbor's yard and it was just so cute that we had to take some pictures. Had I known what a great photo opportunity it was I would have dressed them a little cuter and fixed their hair. Heck, I would have even put shoes on Darby! I didn't know she was going to get out of the stroller.

Could they be cuter?

Just for kicks I jumped in one!

I love that protective arm on her back. :)

Raise that leg!

Presley was doing all sorts of funny posing...

So sweet.

Love this!

We had a fun impromptu photo session along with lots of fun exploring. I imagine we'll do it again next time we're there, but next time they'll be dressed for the part. Or at least I will have brushed their hair!
