So I'm a few days late on this, but Darby is already 6 months old! I seriously don't know how that happened so quickly. Here's what's going on with her right now:
--In the last few months my milk has been drying up. I wanted to nurse her for at least a year like I did with the other 2 girls, but it didn't work our like I had wanted. I have cried over it and felt guilty for so long, but I'm okay with it now. I am trusting that God has different and much better plans for Darby and for me than the plans that I tried to make on my own. And He knows best! So she's strictly a bottle baby now, and she likes to hold it all by herself. This is so different for me than with her sisters. They rarely had bottles. I've found that it does provide a lot more freedom! And now I don't have to plan what I'm wearing around whether it is convenient for breast feeding. That has surely been nice!
--She is so happy! As long as she's been feed and has had a good nap she is a very happy little girl. She gives us lots of smile and laughs.
--She has found her feet! I love it when she's on her back, lifts her feet in the air, grabs them, and rolls over on her side. That's one of my favorite things babies do. It couldn't be cuter.
--She coos and babble all the time. I love to hear her talk.
--She's still our tiny girl. I'm not sure how much she weighs since I'm a bit behind with the doctor appointments. (Poor 3rd child!) But she's smaller than the other 2 that's for sure. I need to take her to her 6 month appointment and get her stats. But oh wait, I need to take her to her 4 month appointment first. Yikes!
--This girl loves her paci. (Another thing that is so different from her sisters.) She always has one in her mouth I love it when she smiles and it falls out. Precious!
--She's been eating cereal/oatmeal every once in a while, but she's not a big fan. Hopefully she'll get better at eating food soon.
Well, keep telling myself I'll do it, but someday soon I'm going to get all the pictures from the camera and put some up here. In the meantime, iphone to the rescue. Again!

how did I miss this post?!! she is so sweet! I love that little outfit. I have one for Zoe that was the same shape (different fabric) but 9 or 12 mos size. The one from her 1 year photos. It was my fave. I have one for 18mos too so she'll be wearing it again this summer :)
